There’s nothing like a creative wall mural. Growing up, I was always envious of my friends with Disney characters dancing on their walls or realistic images of an exotic beach. Some of my friends’ parents painted the murals, while others hired professional painters. Either way, there walls always seemed more exciting than my plain off-white walls.

It is for this reason, I decided to have wall murals in my house. Because I am not an artist, I hired a painter to come in and decorate my walls. I explained the vision I had in mind and she made it a reality. In my dining room, I chose to have tropical birds resting on branches, while in my kitchen, hanging antique bordered the wall.

Murals are a great way to enhance a room, without having to buy new furniture. Painters range in price and experience, and of course you can always paint yourself or ask an artistic friend to help you out.
